摘要

An attempt to classify EEGs recorded from subjects under performing some mental tasks is made. In this case, our main interest is focused on designing some experimental paradigms with the visual stimuli, which seems very important in acquiring a bit reliable EEG data. Thereafter multichannel EEG signals are measured according to the visual stimuli presented in random order and analyzed by some signal processing techniques. This paper shows the preliminary result about whether EEG signals evoked by the visual stimuli of the animated picture type can be used for discriminating a few mental activities such as the imagination of 4 directions-up, down, left or right and are finally applicable for a new Human-Computer Interface .
