摘要

Aiming at next generation wireless ad hoc networks, which will eventually utilize transceivers with multiple transmit and receive channels per station, a protocol for the assignment of such channels is presented. It shall allow for a spatial reuse of scarce radio resources. Such resources include frequency bands, time slots and code sequences, depending on what combination of multiple access schemes has been employed to operate the system. The scheme presented in this paper is modular in nature, that is, it consists of several building blocks, which integrate to a flexible and configurable solution. This approach provides a solution easily applicable to many wireless networks, not limited to ad hoc networks only, Existing cellular networks can also profit from this approach.
