At the advantages of easy manufacture, low cost and high efficiency, cartridge case is very important in the construct of national defense. However, material performance disperse and local change caused by jointing would effect the displace rule when launching, thus lead to the ejection of the cartridge case descent. LS-DYNA software is used to analysis the effect of cartridge case distortions for different material performance. The result can be used to explain the phenomenon about cartridge case when launching reasonably. The results indicate that LS-DYNA software is excellent both in compute precision and in compute efficiency and can be used to cartridge design.
