Cartridge is complete with projectile, partic. of the injection type for anaesthetising a dangerous person or animal. The material to be injected is accommodated in a cylindrical vessel containing a piston and with a nozzle at the forward end, while there are stabilising devices at the rear. The front part nof the projectile in front of the vessel and enclosing the nozzle is a profiled component of compressible material in laminated form and particularly of plastic. The individual laminations have different distortion characteristics. The damping laminations can be so arranged as to get progressively harder towards the rear.
