Study on Judgment Apparatus of Walking Action Using Planar Multiple-Link Mechanism - Synthesis of Mechanisms Using Computer Graphics and Simulation -

Recently, various rehabilitation apparatuses are developed activity. Especially, most doctors and patients demand rehabilitation apparatus to make a decision their walking action. In this study, the design of machine that is constructed with a F-type of planar six-link mechanism and planar eleven-link mechanism consisting of only revolute pairs is investigated. And when applying planar six-link mechanism and planar eleven-link mechanism to the judging equipment, the size of the mechanical constants of leg mechanism united with movement of a user's leg is demanded. In this research, graphics-processing application is carried out and it is shown that the optimum value of mechanism constants is easily calculated from a computer graphic techniques. Moreover, in order to prevent a fall of the output accuracy, it is necessary to synthesize layer arrangement so that it may become the minimum number of layers. So, using the layer arrangement system, interferences are judged in figure using CG. Based on above-mentioned analysis results, a design and trial production are performed. The walk experiment which made the man the model using the equipment which judges the degree of attainment made as an experiment is conducted, and output accuracy and its usefulness are examined. It was checked the above result that the judging equipment of attainment proposed by this research is applicable enough as rehabilitation apparatus. In addition, this study is carried out as part of the student's computer education, in order to improve their creativity and machine design skills in conjunction with educational advantages. Significant educational results are i obtained by using the design techniques mentioned above.
