In the present work the equilibrium properties of binary ordered alloys like β-brass at different temperatures are studied by Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of vacancy dynamics from one side and of direct atomic exchange kinetics - from the other side. Two order parameters (long-range order and antisite pair correlation function (APC), respectively) instead of one traditional are introduced for this aim. It is shown that the computational data display an essential disagreement with the mean field approximation prediction. Both the vacancy dynamics and the direct exchange model give similar results. The correlation between the long-range (LRO) order parameter and APC-function at the equilibrium state was obtained and investigated.
