Using the Stokes-Mueller formalism to enhance polarimetric imaging in microscopy and ophthalmoscopy

Imaging polarimetry based on Stokes-Mueller formalism is often used to explore spatially resolved polarization properties of optical systems. However, this formalism can also be used to improve different imaging techniques. Here we are interested in polarimetric methods of image improvement in microscopy and ophthalmoscopy.
