In the 13 summit of climate changes held by United Nations (UN) in Bali in December 2007, Indonesia agreed to decrease the concentrate of CO on the air about 26% up to 41% at the end of 2020 This agreement could be reached if all industries sectors including the construction sectors have their commitment to environment issues/problems. As a developing country, Indonesia has a blueprint for the construction sector as a grand design and strategy called the “Indonesian Construction 2030”. One of the proposed agenda is to promote sustainable construction in order to use the material efficiently, to reduce waste (waste of material) as well as to facilitate ease of maintenance of post-construction building. The objective of this research is to implement the green construction assessment system for building constructions in Indonesia in order to find out how green the process of construction of the project. The result of green construction assessment system trial in construction project, the knowledge obtained are as follows: (a) projects without green designs and are not constructed by green contractors will tend to obtain low score of GCS, (b) projects without green designs but constructed by green contractors will tend to obtain high score of GCS, (c) projects with green designs and constructed by not-green contractors will tend to obtain high score of GCS, and (d) projects with green designs and green contractors will tend to obtain high score of GCS.
