A preliminary study of scramjet thermal protection has been done in this paper. Because the thermal environment is groundwork of scramjet thermal protection research, a model engine was used as researched subject, the thermal environment was studied and computed, one dimension heat flux density distribution of scramjet and two dimension heat flux density distribution of strut leading edge were obtained. Based on the thermal environment study, thermal protection method of scramjet was investigated. To make the limited coolant can be full used, the conception of 'coolant precise admeasure' was put forward, and the coolant channel distribution was given corresponding. In addition, the thermal structure of scramjet combustion chamber wall and strut leading edge were designed, several thermal structure methods were presented, numerical simulation was employed to get the temperature field of different thermal structure, and thermal protection effect of thermal structures were analyzed and compared. The research work performed by the paper establishes the base of further work.
