On condition of J2 and atmosphere drag perturbation arernboth present, an optimization algorithm for formationrndesign is proposed, by which the designed formationrnsubjects to destroyment influence from perturbation tornthe least extent. First, the concept of relative eccentricityrnand relative inclination vector are introduced and therncorresponding relative motion dynamics is established.rnThen, based on relationship between relativerneccentricity, relative inclination and initial relativernposition, relative velocity, a performance index functionrndescribing the extent of formation deviation from itsrndesired state under the action of perturbation isrnestablished , which takes formation deviation problemrninto account from viewpoint of harmonic vibrationrnerror, constant error and secular drift. After that, basedrnon theory of mean orbital elements, Genetic Algorithmrnis used to optimize the given function to get itsrnminimum value, from which the objective of formationrndesign is achieved. In the end, comparing simulationrnresults between the formation designed by J2 invariantrnformation theory and that from proposed method showsrneffectiveness and superiority of the given algorithm.
