Quick placement with geometric constraints

摘要

In this paper an original constraint-driven placement toolntargeted at full-custom mixed-signal design is described. One of itsnmain objectives is to quickly obtain feasible layout configurations, andnexplore efficiently the effect of different sets of constraints in anninteractive environment. By using direct-approach algorithms, allnfeasible constraints are met by construction. Overconstraints arendetected, and quick feedback is given to the user about infeasiblenrequirements. Good results have been obtained on a significant set ofnindustrial-strength test cases
