摘要

Subsurface investigation of sand and gravel deposits has generally been limited to test pits and borings. These techniques are problematic in terms of the accuracy, usability, and cost of the final data. Innovations in the application of geophysics have been gaining acceptance in the aggregate industry, especially to determine depth to bedrock and the extent of uneconomic inclusions. This paper presents a system to optimize the processing and evaluation of electrical resistivity data. The system uses 3D separation, geometrical reconstruction, and visualization of subsurface objects.
