摘要

1 Introduction Many students show a nervous and anxious state in the process of foreign language learning, because they fear they can not perform well in the classroom or pass test (Chen 2005: 42; Li, 2006: 104). Anxiety seems to influence the effect of foreign language learning. Arnold and Brown (2000) state that anxiety makes learners nervous and contributes to poor performance in the process of learning foreign language and it is quite possible pervasively obstructing the learning process (8-9). In the process of language learning, students are expected to pass many tests and usually experience a higher anxiety which may affect their performance in test.
