The paper covers the method of construction of the time synchronizing device designed for generation and support of the on-board time scale for navigation equipment. Software and hardware development of the time synchronizing device is carried out with the help of field programmable gate arrays (FPGA). The paper gives the description and results of research of the main modules. The device allows adjusting the follower marker interval manually and automatically within given ranges. The synchronization of the time marker is performed via a pulse and an instruction. The control unit automatically adjusts and controls the divergence of the time markers and the divergence of the generated and reference marker intervals, as well as the difference of time scales values. The signals of the time scale unit are delivered to the end-user automatically with a periodicity of 1 s and 10 s, or on the appropriate request. The unit of the time scale signals is generated by the principle of two out of three based on the readings of the time scale of the slave timers, from which the most reliable data are selected. Reliability of the generated scale and time markers is ensured by triplication of the timers and majority elements.
