摘要

Attenuation caused by clouds has significant impact on millimeter wave frequency bands. Various researches have shown that the predominant factor for cloud attenuation is liquid water content, which is difficult to calculate. This paper presents studies of cloud attenuation conducted at different European seas in order to calculate satellite links for marine communications. Readings of cloud Liquid Water Content are taken from AMSR-2 satellite and the values are used in the cloud attenuation model presented in [9].
