Non-woven polypropylene(PP) is the nonpolar polymer that is widely used in mechanical engineering, in the manufacture of composite materials and medical equipment. It's widely available and it's relatively inexpensive. The article is devoted to the study of mechanical, electrical and electret properties of non-woven "Spunbond" polypropylene CC20, CC35, CC40 CC50, CC60, CC70, CC80, CC90, and CC100. Here CC means grams per square meter (g/m2). The stability of the electret state was studied by the method of thermoactivation spectroscopy. The dependences of the compensating potential difference on time under isothermal conditions were received over a wide range of temperatures. The influence of humidity on the stability of the electret state is shown. Electrets were produced in a corona discharge with the negative and positive polarity of corona electrode.
