摘要

The contemporary world has been “dominated” by Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) in the various social sectors, especially in the educational sector. However, it is noted that not only the presence of the technologies in the school, it is necessary that these are thought and articulated with the education, being placed in its favor. Thus, the purpose of this article is to present, through an experience report, the use of TIC, especially games, in the teaching and learning process of young and adult students with Down Syndrome, regarding the development of Their perceptual, behavioral and competence skills. The application developed to meet the objectives of this research, called “Kids Universe” was validated and tested by a group of 12 students, aged 16 to 34 years of the Association of Parents Friends and People with Down Syndrome of Espírito Santo “VITÓRIA DOWN”. The initial data indicate that the use of Games as a learning tool allows participants to offer playful and dynamic activities, thus stimulating the senses and cognitive abilities (attention, concentration, perception, logical reasoning, imagination and visual memory) of verbal expressions and psychosocial skills, making it a great learning resource.
