A differential complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) based ultrawideband (UWB) slot antenna with good common mode rejection is presented in this letter. The modified CSRR slot act as a radiator in order to obtain the UWB bandwidth. This CSRR slot is differentially fed by microstrip line with good common mode suppression. The impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is from 3.3 GHz to 10.8 GHz. The size of the antenna is 27.5 mm × 20 mm. The proposed antenna is designed, fabricated and measured in order to verify the proposed concept. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulated results.
