摘要

In order to adjust manufacturing resources rapidly based on the market demand, a new manufacturing resources organization approach based virtual manufacturing cell is proposed to simplify production scheduling process and improve scheduling quality. Firstly, a cell formation mathematical model for the cellular manufacturing system, considering all aspects of the problem, is provided. Then, an novel artificial intelligence approach, inspired by the endocrine mechanism, is designed to handle the cell formulation problem. The proposed approach has the advantages of simplifying model and reducing design variables. Finally, an experiment is given to demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed approach.
