摘要

For an optical communication system, the bit error rate (BER) is an important indicator of a system performance. In the process of optical link design and the actual communication, a low bit error rate is beneficial for information transmission. This paper analyzed a combined effect of pointing error and scheme mode on BER. In the computer simulation, the relationships between system BER and jitter transmit power, laser beam divergence angle and other factors are discussed in detail. Based on the theory model, the BER performance of binary phase shift keying (BPSK) scheme and binary phase shift keying (BFSK) scheme under different boresights is presented. In terms of numerical results, we can obtain the methods to reduce the bit error rate. These works benefit the system design of the satellite-to-ground optical communication laser uplink.
