The effect of mitoxantron, an anthracenedione agent known as DNA-reactive agent conjugated with Fe3O4 nanoparticles and Fe3O4@GO nanocomposites on stem cells was studied in present research. With a cytocidal dose-dependent effect on both proliferating and non-proliferating cultured human cells MTX has some side effects on other tissues and diarrhea, heart problems, weakness, hair loss and immunosuppression and it alone is not selective. But its conjugated forms, have lower side effects and are more selective. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of conjugated forms of MTX in stem cell behaviors.
