By taking into account the Gaussian random noises on dynamics of power system, a stochastic power system model with time-varying delay is proposed in the form of stochastic differential equation, then the robust stochastic stability is discussed in detail. By constructing a novel Lyapunov functional, an improved robust stochastic stability criteria is developed, and the restrictions on the derivative of time-varying delay are removed so as to reduce its conservatism. The obtained results in the form of linear matrix inequalities(LMI) could be able to effectively solved by using the LMI toolbox. Finally, the single machine system under random perturbations is employed to validate the usefulness and practicality of the obtained results.
