Ultra-Wide band technology has attracted many scientists and engineers to work on different fields like telecommunications, satellite communications, indoor security and networking, intrusion detection, vehicle collision avoidance and short range radar systems. In this paper we propose a novel method to search and recognize a predefined object across the wall in an intricate environment of room by using Ultra-Wide band through wall penetration radar system, which is designed in such a way that singular spectrum analysis (SSA) is firstly applied to smoothen the signals received by UWB radar with bandwidth between 1GHz and 2GHz and then analysis based on the fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) is performed for originally received and the smoothened signals in order to characterize the objects across the wall/hurdle. Finally simulation based results for SSA signal are compared with originally received signals and found more precise and accurate combined with FrFT for fractional analysis.
