Based on a lot of surveying textbooks of Chinese colleges, author has summarized four sorts of relative error formulae, deduced connections of these formulae, selected right formula, and put forward some examples. So, this paper is useful for theory of relative error to be perfect, for technical standard of relative error to be strict and for surveying textbooks of Chinese colleges to be perfect.
