摘要

Recognition of protein in 2D gel electrophoresis image is essential for the biological analysis. In this study we propose a new method for recognition of protein with a threshold-irrelevant template match method. First, an optimized gradient operator was applied to the origin image. Second, the threshold irrelevant template match method was applied to the gradient image to get the center of each object. The template value was generated with first derivative information of dot-like image model. The proposed approach was tested on actual 2D gel electrophoresis images. The result shows our proposed method has better detection accuracy in 2D electrophoresis image.
