摘要

The proportional service model has gained attention recently as an effective solution for quantitative service differentiation in IP networks for its controllable, consistent, and scalable features. A loss proportional differentiated service model is proposed in this paper and we have described the service in mathematical fashion. We analyze the parameters meanings of RED queue and put forward an implementation scheme based on loss rate measurement and maximum drop probability adjustment for loss proportional differentiated service model. The simulation results show that the proposed implementation scheme based on maximum drop probability adjustment can achieve proportional loss differentiation approximately between different traffic classes under heavy load.
