The method involves detecting whether one or more temp. of the vehicle and ambient conditions affecting the end stage is above or below a critical value; if the result is positive, reducing the maximum power loss in a control step depending on one or more algorithms dependent on parameters formed from the vehicle and ambient conditions. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the method.
