摘要

A mesoscale heat exchanger (MHEx) that is less than 250 μm thick and 100 mm by 100 mm in area, is presented. Made from Kapton~(~R) KJ and EKJ polyimide films, the MHEx is flexible, can withstand high internal pressure, and is chemically inert to common refrigerants. A prototype mesoscopic fabrication process is detailed, consisting of computer-controlled knife cutting and lamination, which allows micron-sized tolerances to be held over large areas.
