摘要

An improved characteristic-based numerical algorithm was presented for solving time-dependent Maxwell Equations. A new terms of matrix was added to the original equations which were rewritten in vector form on a Cartesian frame to fully describe the features of coplex spatial conditions. The implicit scheme was also drawn into the formulation to separate the six field wectors. In order to better depict wave motion the three forward and backward differential methods are used according to the eigenvalues of the coefficient matrixes.
