This work aims to analyze situation awareness, naturalistic decision-making processes and cognitive control modes of airplane pilots on a flight simulator experiment. Thus, different situations were considered in order to study pilots' situation awareness and decision making to study aircrew performance. Participant actions were investigated and classified according to cognitive control modes. Results suggest that context complexity factors affect difficulty management, influencing situation awareness, decision making and pilots' cognitive control modes.
