Complementary Feeding Strategies to Improve Child Growth in Developing Countries

The causes of infant growth faltering during the complementary feeding period are various. It requires the use of multiple intervention strategies. These should include promoting breast-feeding for 6 months, encouraging continued breast-feeding into the 2nd year of life with complementary feeding, improving infant feeding practices of care-givers, and improving maternal nutritional status and education.
