An Improvement of Teaching Materials for E-Learning in E-TQM Project

"E-TQM Project" has been developing the e-Leaming system to learn key concepts of TQM including QFD. The project recognizes the e-Learning considerably depends on quality of teaching materials. An incomprehensible description or a jump in logic might disturb learning, so that the authors research to detect a piece of the teaching materials to be revised. The basic idea of detection has already been reported by Yoshikawa et al. at the 8th and 9th ISQFDs. To realize this detection method with an assumption that teaching materials are made as Ms PowerPoint files, it is necessary to upload teaching materials in a slide by slide manner and to collect data concerning learning processes. We registered teaching materials for an experiment and the learning process data was collected. The data is described in a transition matrix and DEMATEl method is applied. The result shows that the piece of the teaching materials that is thought to require the improvement can be detected.
