This paper describes the differences between deformations ofrnsubmerged breakwaters measured in two- and three-dimensionalrnexperiments in order to use results measured in two-dimensionalrnexperiments effectively. Differences between velocities abovernsubmerged breakwaters measured in two- and three-dimensionalrnexperiments are also investigated. The authors show that therndeformation at the submerged breakwater head has to be estimated byrnthree-dimensional experiments and that the deformation at central partrncan be estimated by two-dimensional experiments on the safe side. Thernauthors also show that onshore velocity measured in the threedimensionalrnexperiment is larger than that measured in the twodimensionalrnexperiment.
