Nine Day replacement of coleman bridge

摘要

The six river spans of the Coleman Bridge at Yorktown,Wirginia 25000' in length,were completely removed,replaced,and reopened to traffic in a nine day shutdown in May 1996.This paper reviews the Contractor's concept development,construction engineering,planning,training,and construction methods which made this achievement possible,and design consideration relating to the construction phase of the project.
