摘要

This paper describes the realisation of air-core spiral inductors in MCM-L technology. The components are manufactured using advanced printed circuit board technology and offer improved performance over other commercially available components. Q values of up to 120 and resonant frequencies in excess of 5GHz are measured for the new devices. This technology will allow the fabrication of discrete devices as well as providing a means to integrate the components into the circuit board.
