We report on flexible organic thin-film transistors that are based on a new conjugated organic semiconductor, dinaphtho-[2,3-b:2 ',3 '-f]thieno[3,2-b]thiophene (DNTT). Compared with the more widely utilized small-molecule organic semiconductor, pentacene, DNTT provides not only slightly larger carrier field-effect mobility (greater than 1 cm2/Vs), but better stability against air-induced oxidation and hence better long-term air stability. The bias stress-induced threshold voltage shift is similar to that of hydrogenated amorphous silicon TFTs.
