PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excitation force specifying system and an excitation force specifying method with which, even when a rotary apparatus operates with low revolution speed, it is possible to specify the force generated in the rotary apparatus with good accuracy.;SOLUTION: With the excitation force specifying system, a transfer function acquisition unit acquires a transfer function that indicates a relationship between an excitation force that serves as input and the strain response of each individual strain gauge, on the basis of an output result from a force sensor and an output result from each individual strain gauge when an excitation device gives an excitation force. Thereafter, an excitation force specifying unit specifies the excitation force generated in the rotary apparatus in operation, on the basis of the output result from each individual strain gauge when the rotary apparatus operates and the transfer function acquired by the transfer function acquisition unit.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
