The embodiments of the present application belong to the technical field of computer vision, and disclose a stereo calibration method, apparatus, and system for a binocular camera, and a binocular camera. In the present solution, the calibration apparatus reflects light and heat by means of a reverse light-supplementing and diffuse reflection surface, and guarantees heat dissipation, so that the light and heat on a calibration plate are uniform and stable, and a visible light image and thermal infrared image obtained by means of photography are clear. According to the stereo calibration method in the present solution, the imaging specifications of two cameras are unified, so that the subsequent stereo calibration can be accurate and effective. In addition, in the present solution, a translation component along the optical axis direction is also reduced so as to determine the respective rotation amounts of the two cameras, and once a corrected image is rotated on the basis of the determined rotation amounts, more images can be retained, thereby ensuring the availability of the images, i.e. ensuring the reliability of stereo calibration. When the stereo calibration method is combined with the calibration apparatus, the accuracy of stereo calibration is higher.
