The invention relates to a railing beam (10) for a modular scaffold (100),having at least one end (11, 12) a double hook (20) for connecting to a vertical handle (30) of the modular scaffolding (100), wherein the double hook (20) comprises in a top view of the railing beam (10) two spaced from each other and axially symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal axis (A1) of the railing beam (10) arranged hook elements (21, 22), which can optionally be engaged with a perforated disc (40) arranged on the vertical handle (30).The invention further relates to a modular scaffolding (100) with a railing post of the invention (10), a method for erecting a modular scaffolding (100) and a use of a railing post of the invention (10).
