A horizontal beam (130) extends between two coupling positions (140, 142) and the two railing uprights (114, 112) are movably connected to this beam so that the folded-away railing can be connected to the left and right support frames (104, 106) for the scaffolding platform via the first and second coupling positions respectively. The upper rail (110) extends a given working height above the beam when the scaffolding is unfolded. The platform extends horizontally between the two support frames in the scaffolding (102). The railing forms a fall protection arrangement along one side of the platform when unfolded and can be folded away during transport or storage.
