The present invention relates to a novel cellulase derived from Pseudoalteromonas isolated from arctic seawater. The cellulase of the present invention is a low-temperature active enzyme having high cellulolytic activity even at low temperatures, and exhibits excellent activity even at 15° C. or less, as previously reported. Since it is characterized by having different optimal temperature and pH conditions from that of cellulase, the reaction can be terminated or started simply by adjusting the temperature or pH conditions, and is particularly useful in industries where it is difficult to carry out outside a specific temperature or pH range. In addition, the cellulase according to the present invention exhibits a characteristic of significantly increasing the activity when metal ions or chemical reagents are added, and when the corresponding reaction solution is used, the cellulase activity can be further significantly increased.
