A method for producing a single-filament stent from a filament having a first end and a second free end, wherein starting from the first end, a filament is wound onto a braiding core with a longitudinal axis in a spiral manner in the form of windings between a first deflection means in a proximal end region and a second deflection means in a distal end region, the filament is placed in a crossed-over position at a crossing point and introduced into a crossed-under position at another crossing point.
