PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of alerting a subject regarding a predetermined illness or a disorder accompanied by a symptom which does not correspond to the illness but interferes with daily life. SOLUTION: The information providing method acquires purchase data representing a purchase history of a control customer, and determines a product category to which at least one product belongs from the purchase data. The method further uses a health prediction model that maps the degree of health symptom to the product category to which at least one product included in the purchase history belongs, and the product category to determine the potential health symptom of the target customer.
