A method for analyzing a biological sample comprising biological agents and placed in an analysis receptacle in a field of view of a holographic imaging system defining an acquisition focal plane, with for each of a plurality of measurement instants: the acquisition (S02a) of a plurality of holographic images of the biological sample at different respective positions of the acquisition focal plane, and the determination (S02b) from each holographic image acquired, of a value of a biomass parameter representative of the quantity of biological agents at the position of the acquisition focal plane, the method comprising the construction (S03) of a distribution indicator from values of the biomass parameter of the same measurement instant for several positions of the acquisition focal plane, and the provision, among the analysis results (S05), of a representation of the distribution of the biomass of biological agents derived from at minus one indi distribution factor at a measurement instant.
