FIELD: traffic control systems.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation and telemechanics and specifically to methods of interval control of train movement with transmission of information on target speed throughout the train route. Method of train traffic interval control, which allows two trains on one block-section, consisting of several coordinate sections, consists in the fact that each block-section is divided into one or several coordinate sections with length less than the length of the train braking path. Each of the coordinate sections is equipped with its own track circuit and/or is limited on both sides by axle counters. For each coordinate section, determining the total length of the coordinate sections lying ahead in the direction of movement to the nearest occupied coordinate section and determining the target speed as the highest speed, at which the total length of the coordinate sections lying ahead in the direction of movement to the nearest occupied coordinate section is the length of all three braking paths of the train at service, full service and auto-stop braking. At that, information on numerical value of target speed for coordinate sections is transmitted to onboard equipment, and onboard equipment receives and processes information on numerical value of target speed for coordinate section, on which the head of the considered train is located. When switching to the next coordinate section in the direction of movement, the on-board equipment stores the value of the target speed for the previous coordinate section, which is considered to be the maximum permissible speed for the considered coordinate section until, while the target speed for the considered coordinate section is less than or equal to the target speed for the previous coordinate section. At that, track light with prohibiting indication, enclosing block section, consisting of several coordinate sections, traffic is allowed in presence of target speed signal, value of which is not zero and excludes collision of considered train with ahead one.;EFFECT: reduced sensitivity to delay in movement of ahead train at reduction of inter-train interval.;12 cl, 2 dwg
