The invention relates to a method for verifying an object, preferably a document, a (bank) card, and/or a product packaging comprising an electrically conductive security feature on a device comprising a capacitive surface sensor. After the object comprising the security feature has been placed on the surface sensor, a dynamic input process in particular is carried out on the object and the electrically conductive security feature using an input means in order to generate a characteristic time-dependent signal on the surface sensor. The detected time-dependent signal is then evaluated. The invention additionally relates to an object comprising a security feature and to a method for producing same and to a system or kit for carrying out the method and for verifying a document comprising a conductive electric security feature on a capacitive surface sensor.
