The present invention relates to a font recognition method using artificial intelligence. A font recognition method using a neural network according to the present invention includes the steps of: receiving a target text image including text; resizing the horizontal or vertical size to a reference input size according to the aspect ratio of the input target text image; and inputting the resized target text image to a learned neural network and outputting a font of the text included in the text image, wherein the neural network determines the reference input size from the training image generated by synthesizing the text with the background. It is preferable to learn from a unit image extracted as a unit area. According to the present invention, fonts according to various usage examples can be effectively recognized.
