The present invention relates to nucleotide(s) and combinations thereof capable of specifically binding to miR-4488 (SEQ ID NO: 1) and/or miR-4492 (SEQ ID NO: 2) for use in diagnosis of cancer. The invention further relates to a method of detecting and/or follow-up of prognosis of cancer by the differential expression analysis of miR-4488 and/or miR-4492 molecules as cancer biomarkers.
