The present invention relates to a method of processing a surface in additive manufacturing comprising assembling a structure (1) for a component (10) by additive manufacturing out of a bed of a powdery base material (2), such that the structure is provided with an internal surface (4) and a powdery base material (2) covers at least a part of the internal surface (4), and actuating the base material (2) relatively to the structure (1) such that the internal surface (4) is mechanically processed by the base material (2). Further, an accordingly manufactured component and an apparatus are described.
