The invention relates to the use of an organo-mineral composition by foliar application to stimulate the development of plants in the presence of at least one abiotic stress, said composition comprising the following compounds: - seaweed extract 5 to 50% - soluble silica expressed as SiO2 0.5 to 2.5% - nutrient mineral salts 0 to 30% - trace elements 0 to 12% - organic acids 0 to 30%, the percentages being expressed by weight of dry matter of each of the said compounds relative to the total weight of dry matter of said organo-mineral composition.
